For Volleyball
Late registration for the Los Vecinos Community Center Youth Volleyball League will continue through Friday, according to a news release from the Tijeras center.
Boys and girls, 10- to 13-years-old, can sign up for a fee of $50 per player.
The eight-match season begins April 11. For information, call 314-0240.

Madrid Native,
Gibbs Retires Post
Bobby Gibbs, the executive secretary of the New Mexico High School Coaches Association, will retire Friday, according to an association news release.
Gibbs, who was born in the East Mountains community of Madrid, has held the position since 1974.
Thomas Mabrey, a former athletic director at Farmington's Piedra Vista High, will take over on Monday.

Mustangs Earn
All-Star Honors
Four members of the 2007 state champion Mountainair High football team were selected to participate in the state eight-man all-star game in Ruidoso on May 31.
The Mustangs quartet includes seniors Mathew Chavez, Joseph Lopez, Victor Romero and Vincent Zamora, according to a news release from the New Mexico 8-Man Coaches Association.
In addition, Mountainair coach Robert Zamora will coach the West team, including the Mustangs foursome, during the game.
