    Lady Pintos Soccer Stars
    Sign With Colleges
    Moriarty girls soccer standouts Adriene Lents and Erin O'Brien signed collegiate National Letters of Intent during a ceremony in the lobby of John B. Salvo Gym on Feb. 6, according to a news release from Lady Pintos coach Craig Nixon.
    O'Brien will compete for the University of New Mexico. Lents will play for the University of Central Oklahoma, an NCAA Division II school in Edmond, Okla.
    Softball Player
    Makes Decision
    Kathleen Nixon, a senior third baseman for Moriarty High's softball team, signed with NAIA's Southern Nazarene University in Bethany, Okla., last week, said her father, Craig Nixon.
    SNU is the alma mater of Kathleen's parents. Brett McWilliams coaches the Lady Pintos' softball team.
    Los Vecinos Volleyball
    Sign-Ups Ongoing
    Early registration for the Los Vecinos Community Center Youth Volleyball League will continue through Friday, according to a news release from the Tijeras center.
    Boys and girls ages 10 to 13 can sign up for $40 per player. Late registration, Feb. 18-29, will cost $50.
    The eight-match season begins April 11. For information, call 314-0240.
