Bertha Mae Bullington, 70, the one and only BIG BERTHA, passed away May 23 at home with her beloved family by her side. Bertha was born Sunday, July 4, 1937, in Albuquerque and was a resident of Moriarty for 28 years.
She was survived by her mom, Pauline Caldwell Hughes; children, Diana Armijo, Norman Rollason, Jr. and wife, Dani and Lonnie Bullington; brother, Leonard Caldwell and wife, Coyla; twin sisters, June Humphreys and Judy Navalesi; grandchildren, Lelen Armijo and fiancée, April Romero, Lynnette Montano and husband, Donald, Lance and Justin Rollason; great-grandchildren, Briana, Malynnda and Fabian Montano, and many other family and friends.
Bertha was preceded in death by her dad, Buster; brother, Raymond; and sister, Marilyn Joyce “Sissy.” She was well known for her business, work ethic and delicious candy and bakery goods. She was also known as a people person. She enjoyed her coffee without sugar because she was already sweet enough. Her hobbies were pampering herself with manicures and pedicures and collecting angels. She will be surrounded by all the beautiful angels from above that she loved.
Graveside services were held May 28 at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, 924 Menaul Blvd NE.
