'Too Good To Say
Goodbye' at MHS
The Moriarty High School drama department will present "Too Good To Say Goodbye" today through Saturday at the MHS annex gym stage.
Performances of the "fast and inventive" comedy start at 7 p.m. Admission is $5 and refreshments are available at intermission.

Low-Cost Clinic
To Fix Pets Today
Edgewood will host another low-cost spay and neuter clinic for cats and dogs today.
Limited space is available and reservations can be made by calling Vicki Murphy or Mike Ring at the Edgewood town offices at 286-4518.
Dinner Theater
At Wildlife West
The East Mountain Community Theatre present the final shows of its musical murder mystery dinner theater at Wildlife West Nature Park on Friday and Saturday.
Performances of "Murder on the Salty Dog" by Richard Atkins are scheduled for 7 p.m.
Tickets are $30 for adults, $25 for seniors and students and $18 for children under 12. Tickets include dinner and park admission.

Walk To Benefit
Breast Cancer
Edgewood will host a three-mile walk Saturday to benefit breast cancer awareness and research as well as Adopt a Pet Month.
Check-in starts at 8:30 a.m. at the Edgewood Center North shopping center at N.M. 344 and Dinkle Road. A silent auction, raffle and other festivities are planned.
Entry fees are $15 for adults, $12 for seniors and $5 for children 12 and under.
Participants who want to walk a dog can bring their own or walk a dog provided by local rescue groups.

Grand Opening
At Microbrewery
The microbrewery in Moriarty will host a grand opening and Oktoberfest celebration on Saturday at 2 p.m.
Free tours of the brewery as well as free tastings and free bratwurst are planned.

Talking Talons
To Host Bat Ball
Talking Talons Youth leadership will host its inaugural Halloween Bat Ball on Saturday.
The evening will allow visitors to see bats and other denizens of the night up close including real live vampire bats. Gourmet food, music, scary poetry, prizes and the rest of Talking Talons' collection of animals will be on hand.
Proceeds will go directly to the care, feeding and health of the animals.
Tickets are $75 a person, or $65 each for couples. The cost is $50 each for parties of four or more. Tickets include gourmet dinner, two cocktails, tours and more.

Friends of NRA
To Host Banquet
The Friends of NRA will host a special "Rojo y Verde" banquet on Saturday.
The event will run from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Moriarty Lions Club building. Admission is $100 and only 150 tickets will be sold, according to event organizers.
The admission cost includes $200 worth of raffle tickets for NRA merchandise including guns, prints, collectibles and other items. For a catalog of the prizes, call Peter Ide at 281-6721.
Fundraising Dinner
At McIntosh Center
Concerned Citizens Inc. will host a fundraising spaghetti dinner including dessert, iced tea and coffee on Sunday.
The dinner will run from 2 to 6 p.m. at the McIntosh Community Center. Door prizes and an auction of Kachina dolls and a Kachina clock are also planed.
Tickets are $10 a person and $5 for children 12 or younger.
Proceeds will be used for expenses like petitions and nonpartisan political forums the organization hosts in election years.
Regular meetings are held on the second Saturday of each month at 2 p.m. at the Old Mill Restaurant in Estancia. Due to the holidays, the November meeting will be held Nov. 17.

Local Author To
Hold Book Signing
Local author Ben Steinlage will read and sign copies of his book, "Want To Go West, Lady?" during a Sweets and Savories Tea in Estancia on Saturday and Sunday.

Splash Ink Class
At Starlight Ranch
Edgewood artist and author Ming Franz will teach a Splash Ink with Watercolor and Chinese Brushpainting Workshop at Starlight Ranch from Friday through Sunday.
Ming will demonstrate this blend of Eastern and Western art and students will create their own Splash Ink paintings. Lunch is provided.
