    Clinic for Veterans
    Free on 1st Fridays
    Morgan Oriental Medicine in Edgewood is offering a free clinic for all U.S. military veterans on the first Friday of every month.
    The next "First Fridays for Veterans" is scheduled for this Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
    "Acupuncture and Chinese medicine can be very helpful for the treatment of pain, and has also shown to be helpful for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder," said Ann Morgan. "I wanted to do something for our armed forces veterans who have given so much to our country."
    Morgan said that, according to the World Health Organization, acupuncture can be helpful in treating respiratory disorders like asthma and bronchitis, eye disorders, orthopedic disorders like arthritis and low back pain, gastrointestinal disorders, and neurological disorders like migraine and bladder dysfunction.

    Senior Center To
    Host Yard Sale
    The Edgewood Senior Center will host a white elephant/yard sale on Saturday.
    The sale will run from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the center at 114 Quail Trail, off Church Road.
    A bake sale of homemade baked goods is also planned, and hot dogs and soft drinks will be sold.
    Vendor tables are available for $5, and outside spaces (bring your own table) cost $3.

    Autumn Artfest
    At Turquoise Trail
    Turquoise Trail Gallery in Cedar Crest will host its 5th Annual Autumn Artfest during the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta on Saturday and Sunday.
    Events will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Outdoor guest artist booths and gallery regulars will be featured, showing works from original paintings, prints, jewelry and photography to pottery, fiber work, woodcraft items and more. Entertainment and refreshments are also planned.
    The gallery is in Tom & Jerry's Plaza, 12216 N. Hwy. 14 in Cedar Crest. For more information, call 286-4699.
    Market Winds Up
    Its Music Season
    The Tijeras Open-Air Arts Market has its final musical performances of the season scheduled this weekend and next.
    Donna & Michael Coy will perform in the morning on Saturday, followed by Cole Mitchell in the afternoon.
    On Sunday the morning performance will feature Daniel Boling, and the afternoon show will be Susan Clark.
    On Oct. 13, the morning performer will be Leigh Baca & Neighbors, and the afternoon show will feature Dave Schumann & Steve Kinabrew. On Oct. 14, the final performances of the season will feature Big Sky in the morning and Van Hunter in the afternoon.
