Estancia School
Hosts Art Night
Estancia Upper Elementary School will host a student Art Night today from 5 to 7 p.m.
Artwork from preschool through sixth-grade students will be displayed. An art contest and a raffle to win one of art teacher Kim Artman's paintings are also scheduled. Visitors will vote for their favorite work and the winner will receive a kit of art supplies.
Council To Hold
Budget Workshop
The Edgewood Town Council will hold a strategic planning and budget workshop on Saturday.
The workshop will run from 12:30 to 6 p.m. at Alta Mae's Bed and breakfast in Edgewood. The meeting is open to the public.

Riders Planning
Livestock Sale
The second annual High Desert Riders Livestock Sale and Flea Market will be held Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. near Walgreens in Edgewood.
Horses as well as tack, leather goods and other great stuff will be for sale. An equine vaccination clinic is also planned.

Kites Highlight
At Wind Festival
The annual Wind Festival will blow into Edgewood on Saturday and Sunday.
Events are scheduled from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. both days at Wildlife West Nature Park, where free dry camping will be available. Admission is free.
Kites of all shapes, sizes and colors, including trick kites and banners, will fill the skies as professional and amateur kite enthusiasts from around New Mexico join in.
Prizes will be awarded for Youngest Kite Flyer, Longest Tail, Best Homemade Kite, Smallest Kite and Best Crash.
Edgewood's local Koshari percussion band and Edgewood's own Aeolien harpist will provide entertainment.

Art Classes At
Edgewood Center
The Edgewood Parks and Recreation Department will continue its art-related classes in May.
A class on creating a beaded gourd necklace will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the center.
The beginner-level class, for ages 9 and up, costs $20 a person, which includes all materials necessary to complete the project. Class size is limited to six.

Works 'Honoring
Feminine' Sought
The Innerlandscape Gallery in Cedar Crest has issued a call for artists for "Honoring The Feminine in Art."
Works in all mediums will be accepted. Drop off art through Saturday at The Innerlandscape Gallery at 12129 North N.M. 14.

Edgewood Library
Hosting Bag Sale
The Edgewood Community Library will host its popular Bag Sale on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Books are only $2 a bag, and the library supplies the bags.
Sales are held the first and third Saturdays of each month, weather permitting. All proceeds go to support the library.
The library is in Pioneer Park, south of Old Route 66 and just east of Smith's supermarket.

To Host Yard Sale
The Teen Action Group will hold a yard sale on Saturday at Triangle Grocery on N.M. 14 in Cedar Crest.
The sale will start at 8 a.m. and go until 3 p.m. The group will also be taking donations.

Teen Center Seeks
Panel Members
The Moriarty Teen Center is open Saturdays from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Moriarty Community Center, with various activities and events.

Gospel Singer At
Christian Center
Gospel Singer Buddy Liles will perform Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 10 a.m. at the Christian Center in Mountainair.
Liles sang with the Florida Boys Quartet for more than 25 years, performed on the Gospel Singing Jubilee and now travels the country to present solo concerts to congregations of all sizes.
A free-will offering will be accepted at each show, and gospel items, CDs and videos will be for sale.
