Theatre To Hold
'Flower' Tryouts
The East Mountain Community Theatre will hold open auditions this week for its production of "Cactus Flower" by Abe Burrows.
Auditions will be held Sunday and Monday at East Mountain High School.
Seven males and four females are needed for the show, which will run for two weekends in late March. Cold readings from the script will take place, and no appointments are necessary.
The play, adapted for a movie starring Walter Matthau, Goldie Hawn and Ingrid Bergman, is the funny story of a dentist who stays single by telling his many girlfriends that he is married and has three children. This backfires when he falls in love with one of his girlfriends and asks her to marry him. She demands to see his wife and the children whose home she has been wrecking.
The schedule for auditions is Sunday at 3 p.m. and Monday at 7 p.m. in the EMHS cafeteria. The school is at 25 La Madera Road in Sandia Park.
Anyone interested in other volunteer roles for the production is also encouraged to contact the theater.
For more information, contact director Cliff Cato at 438-3780.
