    Safe Halloween
    Treats in Moriarty
RV Sales in Moriarty is gearing up for its 12th annual Trick or Treat Trailer-to-Trailer event for Halloween.
Monday's event provides a safe trick-or-treat environment for East Mountains and Estancia Valley children. Approximately 40 RVs are circled at the RV Sales lot and the children visit each one to receive treats from an adult in costume.
More than 1,500 children usually attend each year, and an estimated $3,500 in candy is given away. The event depends on the generosity of local residents and businesses for its success.
Children who participate are also asked to bring a nonperishable food item as a donation to the Bethel Community Storehouse.
Adults who wish to dress up and pass out candy on Halloween should call RV Sales at 832-6114 to get on the list.

Geise will also have samples of butterfly displays and will discuss how to collect the insects and mount them into one's own display.
The talk begins at 7 p.m. at the Sandia Ranger Station in Tijeras. Free refreshments will be served after the presentation.
