"The Maximum Impact Simulcast: The Influential Leader" is expected to draw more than 70,000 business professionals participating via satellite from 500 North American cities, according to a news release. The live leadership seminar has trained more than 250,000 business people over the last four years, the release said.
The seminar is hosted by John C. Maxwell, author of "Winning With People." It will be joined by noted leaders from the business world as well as Duke University basketball coach Mike Krzyzewski and Florida State University football coach Bobby Bowden.

Members of the community are invited to bring their cats and dogs, horses and other pets to the ranch to receive blessings from local clergy for good health and long, happy lives.
Local animal rescue groups also will be on hand with adoptable pets, and participants will have opportunities to have photos taken and portraits drawn with their pets.
All pets must be under the control of their handlers at all times via leashes, cages or lead ropes.
The ranch is located just off N.M. 344, nine miles north of the Edgewood exit at the corner of Weimer Road and 344.
For more information call 286-0779 or visit the Web site at www.wncr.org.
Stargazers Will
Meet in Manzanos
The Albuquerque Astronomical Society (TAAS) and the Sandia Ranger District will co-host an evening of free public stargazing in the Manzano Mountains on Saturday at Oak Flat Picnic Area.
This will be the first event of the season for the popular Saturday evening stargazing series. Other 2005 event dates are May 14, June 11, July 30, Aug. 27 and Sept. 10.
The dark skies of the East Mountains and the large telescopes of TAAS astronomers together provide great views of planets as well as more elusive deep-sky objects such as galaxies, nebulae and star clusters.
Observing begins at sunset, weather permitting, and is suitable for all ages. Picnic facilities are available for those who would like to come early, and adjacent parking is available. Alcoholic beverages and pets are not allowed in the telescope viewing area.
To get there, take N.M. 337 nine miles south of Tijeras and follow the signs to Oak Flat and Juniper Loop.
For information and a map, visit www.taas.org or call 254-TAAS.

Riders Needed For
Wild Horse Count
The New Mexican Horse Project is looking for riders to help with a "spotting" day Sunday in the East Mountains.
The NMHP has approximately 15 to 20 wild horses on the Campbell Ranch preserve, east of N.M. 14 between Kokopelli's and N.M. 344. Sunday's effort is aimed at getting an exact count of the number of horses prior to a roundup/relocation.
The effort will not require hard riding. Participants on horseback will ride primarily at a walk, and if they see any NMHP horses should make a written description. A camera would be an asset to "catalog" each horse.
The event will start at approximately 9 a.m. and run through at least early afternoon. Riders will be required to sign a release of liability in favor of Campbell Corp.
Anyone interested in participating should contact the event organizer, Paul Polechla, NMHP project biologist, at 277-8170 or 842-5364.
Fitness Center To
Host Festivities
Cedar Crest Fitness will host a grand opening of its new, expanded facility on Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
A free, team-taught Jazzercise aerobics class will be held at 9 a.m., followed by an instructor performance and a Teen Hip Hop class taught by Roxanne Burgos. At 1 p.m., the Celtic Light Shoe class will perform.
Refreshments, door prizes and drawings are planned, according to owner Judy Breedlove. Information on the weight room and memberships will be available, as well as other classes offered at the center such as yoga/Pilates, Kojasho Karate, belly dance, Tai Chi Chih, Mindful Movement, gymnastics and beginning ballet classes.
Prospective members can enjoy a one-week free full club membership with no strings attached, Breedlove said, and if they join they will get one month free when they purchase three. Single, couple, family, student and senior citizen memberships are available, and the center includes locker rooms and showers.
