      Zoo To You Comes To Civic Center
Zoo To You will be coming to the Moriarty Community Library today from 10 a.m. to noon at the Moriarty Civic Center.
    Zoo To You is an indoor education program of biofacts, a slide presentation and hands-on educational zoo animals. This program is free to the public and is sponsored by the Albuquerque Biological Park, Rio Grande Zoo Education, Phelps Dodge Mining Co. and Wells Fargo Bank.

    See 'Water Horse' Outside at Sunset
Los Vecinos Community Center will be having an outdoor screening of "Water Horse: Legend of the Deep" on Saturday starting at sunset.
    The screening is free but attendees should bring blankets and/or chairs. There will be a food vendor on site. For more information, call 314-0240.
   
    Moriarty Chamber Mixer Tonight
The next Moriarty Chamber of Commerce business mixer will be hosted by Read "Write" Adult Literacy and Sam's Club today.
    The mixer gives business owners and managers to meet and network. Sam's Club will offer free eye screenings during the event.
    The event will take place at the Read "Write" Training Center and Bookstore at 902 Old Route 66 in Moriarty from 6 to 8 p.m.
   
    FFA Benefit Dance For Upton Family
The Moriarty FFA will hold a benefit dance Friday at Crossley Park to benefit the Upton family.
    Brody and Rippen Upton were in a car crash in Alabama that took Rippen's life and left Brody in critical condition. FFA also be holding a raffle during the event, and a donation jar has been placed at Flicks on 66 in Moriarty.
    The dance will be held from 8 p.m. to midnight at the park. Cost to get in is a donation.
   
    Eye Screenings At Turquoise Trail
The Sandia Mountain Lions Club will be holding free eye screenings Saturday.
    Doctors from Cedar Crest Vision will be on hand to perform the screenings, which will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Turquoise Trail Shopping Center next to the Cedar Crest post office.
    The Lions Club will have a large eye-screening mobile home at the location.
   
    Learn Geocaching At Sandia Center
The Sandia Mountain Natural History Center will open its doors to the public Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will offer visitors more than 5 miles of trails, picnicking, geocaching, two hands-on exhibit rooms, and a wildlife observation deck.
    An orienteering course will teach you the proper way to navigate the wilderness using map and compass from 10 to 11 a.m.
