Family Movies
Gets New Digs
Family Night at the Movies sponsored by Drug-Free TRES Inc. is moving to its new location this Friday.
The movie "Snow Buddies" will be shown starting at 6 p.m. at Mountainview Elementary School.
The popular monthly event, which was started in the 1990s, moved to the school in an effort to provide better service to families in both the Edgewood and Moriarty communities.
Literacy Program's
Scrabble Tourney
The Adult Literacy Program in Moriarty is sponsoring its annual Scrabble tournament Saturday at the Moriarty Civic Center starting at 11 a.m.
Cost is $7 to enter. Proceeds will go to the program.

Artists Group
Meets To Network
The East Mountain Artists Group will be meeting for networking, inspiration and sharing.
The next meeting is scheduled at 3 p.m. Sunday at Jo's Chameleon Cafe, 10 miles south of Tijeras on N.M. 337. Artists are encouraged to bring a sample of their art, or photograph, to share.

East Mountain High
Sets Fundraiser
East Mountain High School invites all to join in a fun-filled evening of talent at the second annual "East Mountain Idol." This family-friendly event is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Roosevelt Middle School Gymnasium.
Sponsored by the East Mountain High School Student Parent Staff Organization, the event has become an annual fundraiser to benefit the school.
Admission is $4 for adults and $2 for children 18 years and younger.
HypnoBirthing
Talk Scheduled
There will be a discussion of HypnoBirthing at the East Mountain Library from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday.
The discussion will be led by Debbie Wollam. HypnoBirthing offers a natural form of pain management that cuts hours off labor and requires less medical intervention.

Los Lunas Museum
Features Speaker
The New Mexico Genealogical Society will present a program at the newly opened Los Lunas Museum of Heritage and the Arts at 10:30 a.m. Saturday.
Noted New Mexico genealogist Francisco Sisneros will be the speaker. He will tell the story of "Ana de Sandoval y Manzanares: Woman of Perseverance and Triumph." The museum is at 251 Main St. in Los Lunas. This program is free.
