Race To Be Decided By Game of Chance

    Prior to Monday, Estancia town officials and a judge will oversee a game of chance to determine the winner of one of two trustee positions in the town, said Town Clerk Linda Warren.
    Other East Mountains and Estancia Valley municipal elections results include incumbents returning to office and state workers assuming a council post.
    The Estancia tie is between Josie Chavez Richards and Michelle Q. Dunlap.
    On Tuesday evening Linda Jaramillo, county deputy clerk and Estancia presiding judge, two clerk judges and Warren hand-tallied the election results which took about an hour, Warren said.
    "We (will) go back over everything— the signatures, the totals— we double-check all the unofficial totals submitted on election night," Warren said.
    MORIARTY
    Moriarty has a total of 1,117 registered voters, and 376 people voted in this election. The two who received the most votes are elected to the council.
