Annual Scrabble
Tourney March 15
The Adult Literacy Program in Moriarty is sponsoring its annual Scrabble tournament on March 15 at the Moriarty Civic Center starting at 11 a.m.
Cost is $7 to enter. Proceeds will go to the program.

HypnoBirthing
Talk at Library
There will be a discussion of HypnoBirthing at the East Mountain Library on March 15 from 1 to 3 p.m.
The discussion will be led by Debbie Wollam. HypnoBirthing offers a natural form of pain management that cuts hours off labor and means less medical intervention.

Golf Tournament
Aids Teen Court
The New Mexico Teen Court Association is sponsoring a golf tournament in April to benefit local programs throughout the state, including the Torrance County Teen Court.
The tournament will be held April 26 at the Inn of the Mountain Gods in Mescalero.
Cost is $200 for individuals and $800 for four-member teams. New Mexico Teen Court also is seeking sponsorships.

Starts March 17
An East Mountain Area Consecutive Gardening Series is being offered by New Mexico State University at the Edgewood Fire Station on Mondays at 6:30 p.m., at 25 E. Frontage Road, Edgewood. Topics covered will include:
Session I, March 17, Low Water-Use Plant Selections by Curtis Smith.
Session II, March 24, Soils and Irrigation by Gene Winn and Jeff Bader.
Session III, March 31st, Care and Selection of Ornamental Trees and Shrubs, Including Evergreens by Joran Viers.
Session IV, April 7th, Plant Pests (Diseases and Insects) by Joran Viers.
Session V, April 14th, Fruit Trees and Small Fruits, by Patrick Torres.
Session VI, April 21st, Vegetables by Gene Winn.

Museum Talk By
N.M. Genealogist
The New Mexico Genealogical Society (NMGS) will present a program at the newly opened Los Lunas Museum of Heritage and the Arts at 10:30 a.m. on March 15.
Noted New Mexico genealogist Francisco Sisneros will be the speaker. He will tell the story of "Ana de Sandoval y Manzanares: Woman of Perseverance and Triumph." The Los Lunas museum is located at 251 Main St., Los Lunas, New Mexico. This program is free and open to the public.
