Edgewood Center Filling Up

By
Telegraph Staff Report
The Edgewood Shopping Center on Dinkle Road and N.M. 344 is beginning to fill up. A Sandia Laboratory Federal Credit Union Branch and a Sears Dealer store for Sears Roebuck and Co. have already moved in and opened their doors for business, and the remaining space will be filled by a Salvation Army thrift store.
According to Morgan Patterson, a business administrator for the Salvation Army, the thrift store may be open in the beginning of March.
"We're looking at having the thrift store supervisor there (hired) locally," Patterson said, adding that several interested residents have contacted him already.
There may also be a community outreach in the center and opportunities for volunteers to work there.
The Salvation Army purchased the center in late 2007. The leasing agent for the shopping center is Eric Schoen & Associates Inc.
