      Edgewood Library Hosts Book Sale The Edgewood Community Library will hold a book sale on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
       Proceeds from the sale benefit the library. The sale will be at the library located off Old Route 66 just east of the Autozone in Edgewood.

       Estancia Aquatic Center Opens Sat.
       The Estancia Aquatic Center in Arthur Park will open for the summer on Saturday from 1 to 6 p.m.
       Admission fees are $3 for adults and $2 for children.
       The pool will be open Tuesdays through Sundays, and close on Mondays.
       However, on Memorial Day the pool will be open from 1 to 6 p.m. and the price will be $1 for all.
      
       Support Veterans With Poppy Day Saturday is Poppy Day in Edgewood, according to a proclamation on the town's agenda. The day is held by the American Legion Auxiliary around Memorial Day each year. Volunteers give out red crepe paper poppies for donations to assist disabled and hospitalized veterans.
      
       Twin Peaks Ranch Holding Lecture A water capturing presentation will be held at Twin Peaks Ranch on Saturday starting at 2 p.m.
       The lecture will be presented by Art Swenka, chairman of the Estancia Basin Resource Association. Twin Peaks Ranch is located off N.M. 337 between Chilili and N.M. 55. The event is free to the public.

       Heritage Day To Honor New Deal The Friends of Tijeras Pueblo, Sandia Ranger District and Cibola National Forest are sponsoring a Heritage Preservation Day on Saturday to honor the 75th anniversary of the New Deal.
       Events will occur at the Sandia Crest House Visitors Center located at the top of Sandia Crest.
       From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. visitors will be able to participate in interpretive talks about the New Deal and the Civilian Conservation Corps and take a guided tour to the Kiwanis Cabin.

       Learn To Prevent Auto Theft on Sat. The Bernalillo County Sheriff's Department and Albuquerque Police Department will hold an auto theft prevention day on Saturday at the Tijeras Municipal Complex parking lot from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Prevention methods will be discussed and a theft prevention service, etching vehicle identification numbers onto car windows, will be provided.
      
       Free Concert On Memorial Day The Town of Estancia will celebrate Memorial Day weekend with free music offered in Arthur Park on Monday from 1 until about 7:30 p.m.
       Two bands will perform three 45-minute sets: country western band Just Us with Moriarty lead singer Tom Williams, and Latino, jazz and funk rock band Picoso featuring Randy Gurulé, a percussionist from Willard.
       Those interested can play volleyball or horseshoes in the pit available in the park.
