      Chamber Sponsors Networking Mixer
       The Edgewood Chamber of Commerce will hold a Mixer and Networking event today from 6 to 8 p.m.
       The event gives chamber members a chance to meet other members for business opportunities.
       The mixer will be at Vanguard Mortgage, 1943 Old Route 66, Suite D.
      
       Special Events for 'Narnia' Opening
       The movie “Narnia: Prince Caspian” will open Friday at the United Artists High Ridge movie theater, with fun and games to mark the arrival of the second installment in the “Chronicles of Narnia” series.
       There will be displays from the Rio Grande Zoo and Albuquerque library system. A medieval group will be staging performances in the parking lot.
       The High Ridge theater is on Indian School at Tramway in Albuquerque.
      
       Seminar Covers Wills, Decisions
       “Advanced Directives: A Living Will is Not Enough” will be the topic of a community seminar at Holy Cross Episcopal Church at 7 p.m. Sunday.
       The presenter of the seminar will be Constance Roy, who has worked as an intensive care nurse for the University of New Mexico Hospital for 20 years.
       Roy will cover such topics as guidance on medical decision documents and surrogate decision makers.
       Holy Cross is 3½ miles north of I-40 on N.M. 344 at Hill Ranch Road in Edgewood. The seminar is free and open to the public.
      
       Retirement Party Set for Teacher
       A retirement party will be held for Janice Espinoza on Friday at San Antonito Elementary School in Sandia Park.
       Espinoza spent 21 years of her 24-year teaching career at the school. This past year Espinoza taught second grade, but for the bulk of her career taught first grade.
       The party will be at the school at 4:15 p.m.
      
       Flea Market, Horse Clinic Scheduled
       High Desert Riders and Chili Hill's restaurant will hold a flea market and horse training clinic in Edgewood on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saddles, tack, livestock and other items will be sold, and burritos and sodas will also be available. The event will be held in the vacant lot west of N.M. 344 and just south of I-40. For more information, call 977-6299.
