May 5, 2008 8 a.m. Trigo Fire Update Yesterday, crews successfully reinforced the northeast containment line using firing activities. For the next few days, residents will continue to see increased smoke at times in the area as firing of unburned vegetation near the containment line continues. This is done to widen and reinforce the containment line. Several crews work together when conducting firing activities. Helicopters are available when needed to assist these crews.
Potential for isolated shower or thunderstorm activity could produce gusty outflow winds near the fire area.
Returning residents are encouraged to use caution when driving in the area due to firefighters and firefighting apparatus.
