TIMOTHY NORTHINGTON KLEIN

Timothy Northington Klein, M.D., 52, died unexpectedly on Nov. 19, 2013. Tim was born Nov. 8, 1961, in New York before his family moved to Pacific Palisades in California where he spent most of his childhood. After graduating from Southern Methodist University, Tim worked a few jobs but then decided to go ahead and make the plunge and become a doctor. He graduated from St. Georges University and began his career as a hospitalist and then a board certified internist. After some life changes, he moved to Edgewood and began to work at the McLeod Medical Center. Tim, being the only internist anywhere close in the area, was often in high demand. He was very proud of the small gifts of appreciation that his patients brought him. Tim loved the outdoors, loved gardening, music, reading, animals and photography. Tim was preceded in death by his sister, Kathryn Klein Zornes. Tim is survived by his wife, Ellen; parents, mother Betty Northington Klein and father Joseph Mack Klein; his brother, Joseph Klein Jr.; and sister, Elizabeth Scahill, all of California; as well as a niece, Emma Zornes. In lieu of flowers please donate in his name to the charity of your choice.
